Who we are
GEE was first a small little idea that popped into Tatyana's head while she stood in the shower looking at the number of plastic bottles she used and was absolutely shocked by it. GEE was formally started in 2019 when two former teachers came together over a passion for the planet and a calling to create a more sustainable community in Charlotte. GEE began selling and sharing about sustainable living at pop-up markets throughout Charlotte and in 2020 GEE opened its first little storefront inside the 7th Street Public Market. Now owned solely by Tatyana GEE strives to continue to bring you all the essential items you use in your daily life in a sustainable and high-quality form and to help make your sustainability journey an easy and successful one.

The Zero Waste movement has continued to grow over the last few years and has come a long way since it first started catching on. Being Zero Waste isn't about fitting all of your trash for a year into a small mason jar, it is not about being perfect, rather making small intentional changes that make a big difference. Going Zero Waste and living more sustainably can seem like a challenge, but GEE is here to make it simple. I believe that taking steps towards a greener future begins with small changes made by individuals. If big corporations and governments aren't making the changes necessary to save our earth, it is up to us as a community to do it. I am thrilled to be able to give you a space to do so.
GEE's mission
First and foremost GEE was created to give our community a place to not only shop for the sustainable items they need but also to educate and change the manner in which we think about and buy our products.

Our promise to you is that each and every item you see in our store is good for you and good for the Earth. We work hard to find brands and products that align with our goals and mission. This means clean, cruelty-free, no harsh chemicals or dyes, no synthetic fragrances, palm oil free, and of course no single-use plastics. GEE is committed and passionate about the change we can create when we work together to ensure a better future for our Earth and future generations.
